Just finished installing an auto extinguisher in the engine compartment but would like to be able to use our large co2 extinguisher as belt and braces.
The usual fix these days seems to be a hole through the bulk head under the companion way steps.
This could just be possible using either the fore or aft steps on Coral Wind but awkward to use in either case especially as the cannister hast to be used fairly up right. I wonder if I could install a fixed tube through the bulk head and then just stick the extinguisher nozzle into the tube? Tube would have a bung of course and I am aware that the nozzle gets very cold.
Any suggestions bearing in mind that I want to use the co2 unit??
