I bought a new vhf whip antenna with windex, (mounted at the mast top)but the windex doesn't clear the tri-colour.

Is there a kit to extend the height, or any easy method of raising the windex. I did experiment with the windex support on the whip above the tri=colour, but clearly this was not a robust enough solution

I could buy another antenna with the built in extension but this seems a very expensive solution

Does it actually need to extend upwards.. how about it extending aftwards (and upwards) just like the sailing version of the bracket does on the Hawk...

I have this Hawk with built in wind indicator.. Does yours appear to have less height than this?

Instead of trying to raise it above the Tri, can you get a bracket which moves it aft enough to clear?

I am sure our one has a bracket which holds it about 6 in aft of the mast - easier to see as well

yes I could make a longer stand=off bracket and fit that. But in clear air above obstructions would be better. I wonder how much the tri=colour would disturb the pointing of the windex. Probably not much I suppose?
