I am on the mobile abroad with no access to my laptop to have a proper look but thought there may be half a chance of finding Hadyn's exploding toilet thread on Wayback.org.. it appears to have saved ybw.com 770 times back as early as 1998 with a number of full forum saves (all forum functionlity not just a list of posts) around the end of 2002.. not sure when the forum upgrade wiped out the post but may be worth a trawl from someone able to use their PC.. unfortunately from what I can see, the year 2000 and 2001 forum archives don't appear to be available although there are links (they don't work and get redirected to 2002).. lots of Haydn's early posts on the 2002 forum.

It was posted a matter of weeks before the forum software change in 2001.
If you notice all the earliest users joined in 2001 because a lot of data including user details and original join dates was wiped.
It's a valiant thought but I think the pages from the 2000/01 period just dint exist anywhere
 
Not sure if what your talking about, but i remember several stories where the toilet exsploded after it has been recently cleaned.

the husband takes his news paper in for a private read, decides to smoke. Either dropping the match of fag end into the bowl while temaining seated.

The inflammable fumes from the disinfectant ignight causing severe burns and s visit to A&E.

I don't think I was ever told it was a unique happening to this forum, or in another thread?

I Googled Haydn exploding toilet which returns search results that are about toilets but nothing to do with this forum.

There is only one exploding bog story as far as YBW is concerned, and that is hlb's.

OK, I do not read every thread in here, I am not familiar with all the names, just a few.

If you apply what little I know and what was written in this thread it look's like a generic event,

Sorry if my simply trying to be helpful spoilt you day in some way to provoke your response.
