Expensive bearing?

For the Raymarine type 2 Linear drive:

"The end bearing spare is the W038, which is £50 plus VAT and P&P"

Seems like an arbitrary "It'll cost 'em fifty quid' for what might be a standard and commonly available and..... cheaper thrust bearing.

Does anyone know please? I'm going to have to get the planet gears from them I guess but I'd be happy to save on the bearing.

Take the old bearing to a bearing supplier. They'll match it.

Tell me the size, load and speed and if it is dry or lubricated and I'll see what we can offer.

Generaly we're at the expensive end but th ematerial performs better for longer. In bearing materials you do get what you pay for in most cases I've seen or compared.
