Exhaust gas leak at top of leg, princess v39

Hi,
I noticed my princess exhaust gasses was not coming out of the bottom of the leg last week, it leaks out at the top of the leg, the local marine engineer said it should be ok til the boat comes out of the water in January, no water is coming into the bilge and the engine runs fine,
i am not comfortable with the should bit!
The boat is a 95/96 v39,
anyone else had this and delayed repair? is it a rubber exhaust and can it get worse?

Its probably the exhaust bellows that has split, so the exhaust bubbles up around the drive instead of exiting through the cavitation plate outlet further aft. It won't be a problem, it just may sound a bit different but have them both replaced when you next take her up.
