Hi Again All.

Hope you all had a good weekend?

i recently fitted a tendy to the back of my seamster 23 cruiser as a back up and it looks and fits great but the only concern i have is that the exhaust is occasionally dipping under the water when i have people sat on the aft seat?
i have considered weighing down the bow with bricks/ sandbags but i was just wondering if this will actually work?
i have quite a long exhaust hose running to the transom - approx 2 metres - in a big loop with a good 3 ft of fall on it so i cant see water migrating back up the exhaust manifold but i know it cant be good for the engine.

have i created and under water exhaust system ??? lol
unrelated pic attached :-)

any help will be greatly appreciated.

regards

No problem with exhaust going under, all the weight is in the stern of the 23 and a friend with the same boat has bags of gravel under the bow seat for the same reason which works well.

You could fit a flap over the outlet, or a swan neck in the system, but you appear to have more than enough fall at present unless you are moored fore and aft on the severn with your aft towards the Bristol Channel. LOL
