How about some good news?

I bought my mast from Z Spars but only recently installed it on my boat. It happened that the boom was a little too long and did not clear the back-stays. This was due to my measuring rather than Z-Spars.

Z Spars kindly sent me some monel rivets so that I could re-rivet the boom to the front casting after shortening it. There was no charge for the rivets and they were obviously posted on the day of my phone call.

Later I needed two additional fiddle blocks to go at the foot of the mast. Naturally they were not FOC but they were posted on the day of my phone call and arrived 2 days later.

Needless to say I am delighted with this service.

That's good, but I found Z Spars to be the worst, and rudest supplier that I have ever dealt with. Very very late delivery, unhelpful... and they lost some of my equipment. Totally dreadful.

Seven years ago complete mast; boom; standing and running rigging supplied for a 1947 33' Robert Clark.

Working from a (tatty) sail plan they got everything right first time. Possibly only thing was that they suggested a bigger section of mast (mainly due to uncertainty of changing from wood to metal) . Only good thing to come out of that was that due to the lighter weight, the boat still sits to her marks.

I also had excellent service fro Z-spars - I bought a boom kit from them about 2 years ago. I personally visited them and discussed it with them - in fact they saved the price of a new extrusion as they had some 2nd hand boom sections(No Charge as they were marked) from which I selected one, they cut it FOC, so it was just the cost of the end fittings etc. They also had a Stainless Steel Spring which fitted my solid vang and I also bought some new guard wires - the cheapest at the time locally. Whe I started to assemble the boom, one of the under boom shackles was cracked and they replaced it by return of post.
