Observations.
Not that much traffic around and space to moor at everywhere we wanted to moor including Lady Lyndsies
Increase regards scruffy small Livaboard craft well past their sink by date hiding in the vegetation.
Not that many rowers around but more swimmers and paddleboarders.
About 50% of locks manned but no real holdups at any of the unmanned locks.
Only got told off once for excessive wash.
Excellent meals at Italian Concept and Tides End and a very expensive one in the resturant opposite DB Marine.
On the way back to Teddington noted nine narrow and wide beam boats taking up moorings at Hampton Court, not a single cabin cruiser.

Speedy and helpful service from Teddington lockeeper on our 05.00 departure .
Quiet through Central London and nice little wind against tide "suprise" at the bottom of Sea Reach, across the Swatchway and into the Mudway.

The restaurant opposite DB Marina is the Ferry - a well known tourist trap I'm afraid. Terrible reputation locally and by boaters, but always packed because of it's location, so they don't need to try.
Pretty accurate description of mediocre at best pub

10 - 15 club boats braved the Thames this year and all seemed to have good time. :)

Everything you suspected about the East Coast is true.
Unlike the other RCC cohort who went up to view the endless mud flats of Essex and Suffolk and spend most of the time windbound.:(
On the up, they used very little fuel , before retreating , during a slight easing of the N and NE winds , back home to the shelter of the Mudway.

i think it was Southwesterlies that had them pinned down. Mind you I cannot understand why they didn't nip up to the Orwell from Titchmarsh, its half an hour.

One boat neeed new domestics an the bog failed.
One boat had to have the prop shaft reconnected to the gearbox.
One boat had to have the starter motor replaced on the awkward to get at engine.
