Every so often you deal with a company that are so good you just have to tell someone. My trim tabs aren't working, and on inspection it was found that the solenoid was missing a valve.
Magic Marine are a bennetts dealer, so I gave them a call. Now, the valve is avery samll part, so I was half expecting to have to buy a new solenoid or even worse, a pump.
Magic confirmed that Bennetts do not supply the valve as a spare, but the solenoid was only £31 + vat. However, the chap on the phone was very knowlegable and clarified which valve I was after (its the milk churn shaped one by the way /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) and offered to 'have a route around' to see if they had one - he would call me back.
10 minutes later he rings back and has found new valve, spring and rubber cap. Total cost - £8. It would have been so easy just to sell a new solenoid, but they took the extra effort.
