Spent most of this evening looking on the net for a replacement impeller for my tender outboard.
Model No is HE2RESS, appx 1990/91 and serial no. is 8517152.
Various places I rang/emailed yesterday haven't replied to calls/emails and I really need to sort it by the weekend.
I think the original pt. no. may be 0114812? (from BRP website for a 3.3 as they don't show a 2.3) but not 100% sure, can somebody verify please?
Its the impeller fitted behind the prop and not the one where it sits on top of lower gear case.
Thanks

ES are the date letters for 1990.

"H" indicates that it is Hong Kong made i believe

You are right that it is not listed on the BRP parts website ... probably because it was model not sold in N America (Some of the Belgium made ones aren't either)

I cannot find it listed in the model list I normally use either!

I would not like to speculate on whether the impeller for the 1991 3.3 will fit or not

Two places I suggest you try are
www.outboards-direct.co.uk (aka Oakley marine in Brighton)

www.willsmarine.co.uk in Kingsbridge Devon

Quote the model number and the serial number and hope.

Oakley answered a recent email enquiry of mine by phone within about an hour.

If they have one in stock maybe you'll get it by next weekend. The part I wanted had to come from Belgium and took nearly two weeks. It was not urgent or even vital but I got the last one in the warehouse! (maybe the world!)

I recently got a next to the prop impellor for a Johnson 2.3 circa mid 90's from Fairweather Marine in Fareham. Admittedly I took the old one in to check the new one but it did not seem to be much of an issue for them to get one out of stock.I suggest that you give them a call.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but there is so little info on the net about this size of outboard, so I expect this thread will appear in a lot of peoples searches.

I bought a 2.3 Johnson, which seemed to pump well when revved, but just steam came out at tickover. Having replaced the impeller, the water stream now continues for a couple of seconds after the motor has stopped, so I was very glad I had changed it!

I would just like to confirm that the correct impeller for the Evinrude/Johnson 2.3 is 114812, (from stock at Seamark Nunn)

gcam - are you referring to the 4 stroke model? This is a rebadged Suzuki I believe. Mine has very poor water water output.

No, it's old school 2 stroke OMC made, I think, from about 1990 to about 2001 when they went bust and BRP bought the rights.
