Evinrude 90 outboard Trim/ Tilt electrical issue

I have a 2012 Evinrude 90Hp o/b.

The trim tilt switch intermittently doesn't work (either on the o/b or on the throttle control switch). Also the engine won't always start on turning the key. Some of the times it fails the engine can trim up but not down...other times neither work.

We have taken apart the isolator switch and cleaned up all the connections, didn't have any effect on the above issue.

Any ideas what to try???

Post your problem on the iBoats Johnson and Evinrude forum which is where the people who are likely to be able to answer are to be found ............ but also quote the model number to positively identify the engine
