dont know this engine, but most of the small ones have an impellor mounted on the shaft just above the gearbox. Access is different on the different makes, so cant help on the surgery.
If its the 4 hp two stroke the impellar is just above the gearbox undo the two bolts and slide whole gearbox of the drive shaft. Impellar is in a housing at top of the gearbox assembly. impellars readily available
The diagram at http://epc.brp.com/Scripts/ImgServ.exe/c...IF=G&ilRE=8 may be helpful. <u>The drive shaft comes away with the lower unit</u> but pulling the drive shaft out of the crank shaft is sometimes difficult and too much brute force may damage the top of the water pump housing as all that retains the dive shaft in the lower unit is the key between the impeller and the shaft. I dont know the answer to that as so far I have been lucky, a new pump housing probably!
note the O ring #39 is inside the top of the pump housing (sometimes people think it should be on the shaft above it)
