i hesitate to raise this subject again, but does anyone know how this stuff compares to likes of 3m 5200? just been quoted £17.50 a tube for 3m, everflex is available through machine world national outlets at around 4 squid a tube, spec says suitable for marine use, amongst others

It is fine and a great saving, though below the waterline use the Sika or 3Ms just in case.
Down here in Cornwall at Trago Mills it is £3.50 if you can face shopping there!

Agree with Jon. Polyurethane '221 type marine sealant' available from trade suppliers at around £3.50. (I use 'Trade Sealants' Waterlooville, Hants). At least it has a 'manufactured' date which is more than could (can?) be said about Sika which may have been sitting on the shelf for years.
