Yesterday evening my eldest daughter and I were left to our own devices while SWMBO and the youngest daughter were at work. Not to waste the opportunity we headed straight from work to the marina, grabbing some chips in Marlow, and then set off for an evening jaunt up the Thames as far as Hambledon Marina, which involved one lock from our mooring.

We encountered a bit of drizzle on the way up and a few slipper launches on their way back from Henley with all on board looking smart in blazers and dresses, not both at the same time of course, but the sun soon came out and a lovely midweek trip was had.

Grabbed a photo on the iPhone to give you feel for why we all enjoy the Thames so much.

nice stretch that is just coming up to the flower pot mooring, i love the thames, will be at the same place tomorrow evening with the kids if i get back from work early enough.

Been on the boat most weekends I'm pleased to say but I think this weekend may have to be spent cutting hedges at home. One of the things having a boat has done is not keeping up with DIY and gardening at home....bloody marvelous ;-)
