EVC up grade to latest rev?

I dont think it's feasible Wakeup. I had version A on prev boat and version C on this, and they're quite different. Different buttons, different functions on the control pads, different LCD screens in the tachos, etc. So you'd need new hardware to make version C work, cos version A hardware hasn't got the right buttons to "drive" version C software

Hi JFM Thanks

I was hoping that if I changed the LCD and the control panel the rest would be software up grade. I can get the LCD Rev counter of ebay for £80 and can probably get the new control panel with the rotary button so hardware isn't massively expensive but I guess the software would be fiddly.

The reason I wanted to consider it is every time I get an engineer involved with the boat the rev a control panel without the wheel seems to flumox them, ditto when I am talking to someone one the phone for diagnostics.

I had a gear actuator changed the other day and the re-calibration was a right hassle for the engineer because of the lack of a wheel. I can see I will get more sucking of teeth in future whenever I get someone to work on the boat.
