EVC Ignition

I have twin volvo penta D3s with 4 button key fob activation ignition and start. Usually after activating ignition one quick press start the engine instantly. Now on one quick press I get a beep and no start. After fiddling around I discovered that the engine will start but only if you hold the start button down for a good 5 or six seconds. Not the end of the world. Just annoying. I'm guessing a setting has changed. Any ideas?

Thank you Seastoke. No, just port engine. Really caught me out on very windy berth exit. I have had electrical engineers on board

I don't thinks so. Starts perfectly but only if you hold the start button. Maybe!
