Eva flooring

Hi All
I am thinking of recovering my deck with some simulated teak the 6 mm eva foam but was not sure if I should if left and refit the two 150mm plates the table fit in or cut round them, I was concerned the foam may compress or distort after a wheel if fitted on top of the foam

You can’t quite see it in the picture but I went over the base and then cut out the hole for the table legs, no issues so far
