Recently acquired a 1986 ETAP 20 sailboat. Rudder was missing. Looking for specs on rudder assembly so I can build a new one. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi, There is some information on the Etap Owners website - the forum no longer seems operational but the download section works where you can find manuals for the 22 although there are no specific detailed drawings.http://www.etapowners.org.uk/ Click on downloads and select the manual for your boat.
It would be well worth contacting David Morris at Woodrolfe Marina - https://www.davidmorrisboats.co.uk/
They were Etap dealers and David is a mine of information and I have always found him very helpful. (I have a 22i)They do keep some parts for Etaps as well so if your luck is in he may even have a rudder! His contact no is 01621 770636. Good luck

Thanks for the info. I have visited the website. The only thing i can get for the ETAP 20 is a brochure. I am in contact with D.Morris, but no luck yet. Info on the ETAP 20 is hard to find. Rick

The ETAP 20 was a Van de Stadt design. Maybe you could contact them?
They were widely sold in the Netherlands. Try www.etapclub.nl.

Thanks! I'm in New Mexico, USA so it's not cost effective. I sail in the high desert lakes with katabatic wind gusts, so initial stability is important.
