I've had one of these untried for several years. Just been using it for the first time on the boat the past few days.

Thoroughly recommended. From arount £14, plus lighter fuel. No flame. No smoke. No smell. Just gets warm and toasty, and stay so for 12+ hours.

have you seen those re-usable plastic pads with a metal disc inside ? Much safer, no danger of explosions, poisoning, Chinese imports, depleting hydrocarbon reserves, influencing global warming, etc. Just boil and re-use.

I've got some of those from Lidl. Handy, but they only stay hot for about ten minutes. Plus the whole boat gets full of steam and condensation just "priming" them.

Bet they aren't as effective as one powered by burning stuff, though. Few things are.
