A belated happy new year to you all. We've had a few days off here and there from the boatyard, though we don't get to leave the vicinity other than a meal in town (Satun). I've not posted up any updates on our refit for a few weeks but today I've published a 20 minute video of the festivities, refit updates and embarrassing karaoke from yachties and local workers alike. We had a fantastic time at the PSS Shipyard New Year party. Here's some random photos:
Three Burmese workers from the yard open up the karaoke. Believe me, the picture is better than the sound!
Local residents don't find the Burmese workers' singing that entertaining (the woman on the right pulling the face went up and did two songs so she has no right to be so judgemental)
Liz's new office, having moved our entire boat contents from one container at the end of the yard to the one next to Esper. With a/c and lighting inside I don't see her all day
We opted to use pine for our trim since it was the wood that most closely matched our new veneer
Video update (with a snippet of me murdering Twist and Shout) is here: http://followtheboat.com/2015/01/11/esper-refit-47-49/
