Esper Refit 37 - how to lay a genoa track with butyl tape... & our rudder doesn't fit
In this week's video clip we show you how we laid down our genoa track with butyl tape. In this version we cover the entire underside of the track with tape, as well as wrapping tape around the bolt heads. There's also some photographs on the blog post.
Also, after adding layers of biaxial and epoxy to the hull, no one thought about the rudder, did they? What you see here is the rudder now too big to fit back up the skeg...
Still, nothing that a bit of sanding couldn't sort out. And the rest of the boat is coming along, with our varnisher now applying the last coats of polyurethane to the veneer...
The genoa track with butyl tape is the first item in the video clip: http://followtheboat.com/2014/10/23/esper-refit-37/
