For many years there has been a liveaboard downstream of the public moorings at Chertsey (ie Chertsey wall/ Dumpseys bend). Its called ERN and it has the look of a World War 2 air sea rescue or similar classic military fast boat.
Its origin intrigues me, anyone have any idea ?

Know the boat you mean and agree it looks very ex RAF-ish.
Don't know anything about it though. Might be worth asking Nauticalia at Sheppertin Lock as they own property on that stretch and Queen of the River houseboat in the same stretch was theirs I think.
