ePropulsion Electric Outboards?

Q: Has anyone got an ePropulsion E-Outboard? What do you think and have you compared it to the Torqueedo?

We all know of the Torqueedo and there are lots of online reviews and comments, particularly the new direct drive model. However, its tricky to find reviews on the ePropulsion. On paper it is cheaper, charges faster, the battery floats and has a longer batter life. I'm comparing the ePropulsion Spirit 1 and the Torqueedo 1103.

No doubt Ian from Nestaway will come along and give us some excellent technical advice, as he has done previously, but I'm curious of any real life end users.

As you posted your question some time ago, I guess you have already made a choice. I bought an eprop outboard last year and have been very pleased with it. I must say it's a joy to use and I use the tender a lot more now. As regards reliability, it's been 100% so far but I think a possible weak point is the plug/socket connection beyween the battery and the motor and the lack of a protective cover for the plug is an oversight that should be rectified by the makers.
