I am contemplatig treating my boats bottom for osmosis.I'll remove the gelcoat allow to dry and then either relaminate with light roving and epoxy or just coat the area with resin and filler.I've done it twice on my previous boat so I have some experience but I'd like opinions about resins.

I used west system with barrier coat aditive x5 coats- a lot of filling and sanding prior to application but seems to work well and it's easy to use if you apply wet on wet to avoid amine blush!

Why the light roving. You should not need any more glass unless your osmosis is so extreme that it threatens to go right through the hull. I have only ever seen this once.

Normally you just strip off the gelcoat, allow to dry well, fill any osmosis blister holes with epoxy filler, fair and make good, sand to a good finish and apply 6 coats of international gelshield. Very time sensative but a great finish and the nice people at International are full of good advice.

Good luck. :)
