Hi

I have a locker lid hinge that has come away from the coming. The screw holes have pulled out and it all needs filling and re drilling. I would bolt through but there is no rear access.
Should I get an epoxy product like this...

...or should I go for a polyester based product like this

I used epoxy on a previous rudder repair job and had problems painting it white. I dont think I need to paint this time as the hinge hides it. What do you think?

I would simply glue the hinge together with the loose fixing screws back in place with epoxy glue (LIDL or ALDI versions are much cheaper and seem if anything to work better than the big brand names...... probably because fresher stock ?

I would suggest OP uses what ever he has available. If nothing then araldite is perhaps the easist to get at any harware shop.
That pictured polyester pack is interesting. I think my builder used something similar for anchoring bolts into bricks. The pack contains the 2 products which are mixed in the special tube. The thing being after one use the tube has mixed resin in it which hardens so you need a tube for each time you use the product. So I would not recommend it for a small job. good luck olewill

Fair point on the builders epoxy. I have not yet used it and there would be some waste . I will pop into lidl and see what I can find or use Araldite (glue of our forefatheres) mixed with microfibres, or even talc ! Thank you all.
