Epoxy covering repair?

Hi everyone,
I had a question about epoxy coverings. My boat was sprayed with epoxy back in the early 2000s according to the previous owner and upon lifting her out last week I found a few holes the size of small coins in the epoxy coating. I was wondering if simply clearing out the damaged area and then re-coating with epoxy was a suitable repair.

I was thinking;
Remove damaged epoxy -> sand area -> apply new epoxy -> sand & fair -> primer -> antifouling

Thank you for any help, I'm still new to this boat-owning lark.
