Epifanes Monourethane Gloss Paint

Painted my mast with it last weekend.Probabally better with a third coat but went on nicely with rad roller and brushed out with a paint pad.

I tried it for the first time last 'summer'. Three coats of undercoat. Six coats of topcoat. Bought it from Robbins Timber along with a load of hardwood.

I think the colour was Oyster White - looks nice on a MAB.

Too early to tell on wear but it seems to be a bit more robust than previous Toplac.

Go for it, you can always revert if necessary.

I have used it many times & it lasts well. Only problem i found was in cold conditions it is prone to not curing & can wrinkle badly. I would not contemplate using it this time of year until the weather has warmed up to at least 20 degrees C.

I think any painting in current temperatures would likely run into difficulty. An autumn job I think.

Just an update. We spent the weekend putting 2 coats of this excellent product on our hull topsides (having already spent quite a few person days preparing the surface). The results are excellent. We thinned the paint about 5% and it went on easily with the roller and brush technique to produce an excellent hard finish. Not perfect by any means due to our skill levels and the poor conditions (windy). Well worth it however and a big improvement.
