Eos is ours!

From underneath which stone have you appeared?

You'll get your invite in good time for the annual get together, hopefully in December. Got wet recently?

Most impressed that you have arranged top deck storage for diving equipment carriers - Al and I have been holding back from getting bigger trunks and barrels owing to lack of deck space previously, so he and I must go shopping.

There must also be ample space for a good display case for your prize collection of antique Fray Bentos pies and Pot Noodles.... and of course pride of place MUST go to your discovery of a few weeks ago - You know.. the milk.. best before August 1999, and unopened wasnt it???

Any space to lock the Teapot Witch away from the teapot this time???? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congratulations, what a beautiful looking boat. I'm sure she'll give you many years of service.

I'd not heard of the make before you posting but she's much nicer than the Grand B's other trawlers, lines far more classic, especially the bow area. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Good luck and pleasant voyages.

No Clive it's a smooth haired jack russell although lots of people seem to think she's got some dachs in her, particularly Debs parents who have owned dachsies almost all their lives. And the one downstairs is a jr/yorkie cross who for our first w/e aboard decided to pick up a severe stomach upset for the first time in 5 years. Not the sort of boat christening we had anticipated!!!

Thanks Roger, the designer is Arthur DeFever who actually designed quite a few of the Grand Banks range so there's bound to be some similarities.

Actually Long John I'm reliably informed (by the Grand Banks gurus) that Defevre only had dealings with the design of Grand Banks Alaskan 46 and non of the other models.

That said your new boat is stunning and I wish you many happy hours of cruising with her.

Very interesting. Tony Fleming was Tech Director of Grand Banks before he left to start Fleming. He based his Fleming design on the Alaskan. perhaps that's why the Fleming has many similarities with the De Fevre.
