Shut up and pay your money Tony. That's all they want from Thames Users. Jeeze! next thing is you will be expecting them to use all the money wisely.

I am not sure I would want to stick my head up above the parapet if I were them for fear of having it shot off by a salvo of angry posts. Much better to sit safely in their offices devises nice friendly press releases.

Btw, does anybody have some proper up to date info on the state of the river around Reading? We were due to go out tomorrow, but are thinking about cancelling.

Sunbury keeper didn't expoect tp put boards out when asked this morning. River was pretty lenient between Sunbury and Kingston.

Tony, you were right, we did fit the finger moorings. Looked a bit daft with 10' of boat hanging off the end though:)

Looks like kids have tried to burn down two of the finger moorings and one has fallen away from the bank . Also look out for shopping trolleys , another boater and i pulled five out last summer . When we called the supermarkets to tell them we had pulled them out they said we don't collect trolleys on Sundays . I think dragging them a little closer to the police station may have done the trick /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Out with the local canoe club in Henley last evening, Marsh is on yellow boards and stream fast through the area, I wouldn't take my cruiser out in it; safe enough through the town but lots of foamy white water below the lock.
