Hi folks - trying to service my Enkes self tailers... the English version of the web shop doesn't work. The Dutch version appears to have a webshop (amusingly named webwinkel) http://www.enkeswinches.com/webshopnl/index.html but it does not appear to be secure and I can't understand it anyway!

They have not responded to email. I wondered if anyone has found a UK supplier of spares or if anyone Dutch can lend a hand with contact details that will get a response.

Cheers - I can only get as far as getting the "servicekit" in my "winkelmandje" - Story of my life!

We've got Enkes winches too, and I get my spares from:
H.F. de Boer Jachttechniek
Skaniadyk 15 8574 TR Bakhuizen
tel. 0031 514582150
info@jachttechniek.nl

Also, never tried him/her:
PTP/Guvo Metaalbewerking -Reyndersstraat 3 A 6095 J Baexem
0031 475 - 451765
(is on my list as "distributor for Europe")
Hope this helps.

We have Enkes winches too and are trying to decide whether to go for the self tailing converters. H.F. de Boer will get back to you and in English.

As an aside, now that I know of other owners, how do you get the drum off? I've tried and allen key down through the middle but I couldn't find one to fit. any ideas?
AR 26s

Have you tried metric Allen keys?
We've got three different model winches on the boat. The genoa winches (AR22ASC) are self-tailing, and the tailing arm comes off with one hex bolt. Then you have four hex bolts in the middle to undo.Take care of four small springs in the collar. Then there is a central spring washer to prise off, and the drum can be taken off after that.
For what I can see on the catalogue, the AR 26 has a central spring washer to undo.
