Hi folks,

As many of you know I have a background in aviation engineering. I am considering starting to offer my services as a marine engineer in and around our locale (part time, in addition to my normal job..)

Do any of you know what sort of insurance I should take out to undertake such an endeavour?

Cheers chaps..

Quite a lot if you plan of making a boat fly... :D

An insurer will advise, but public liability and the usual 'motor trade liability' sort of thing should be OK.

third party liability is inexpensive.

the price will rise considerably,if when your answer to the insurers question,"will you be using heat",is affirmative.
