Engineering companies in the Ipswich area

I need to get the rudder hangings for my Twister remade - probably mild steel galvanised again, but I'd like to incorporate delrin (or similar) bushes into them. Can anyone recommend any good and reasonably priced engineers in the Ipswich area that I could approach?

I'm not local to Ipswich and I found the workshop bit difficult to find. Only thing I can recall was that it was near a speedway track.

Top guy though. He did some very good work for me on a bracket I had made for my windvane

Thread drift alert!! - Horatio, how well have your galvanised mild steel rudder fittings lasted? A boat we bought last year had worn fittings of that material, and after enquiring on this forum, we formed the impression that galvanised mild steel was frowned upon (though the ones on the boat appeared to have been there a long time). We had temporary replacements of some of some parts made in stainless steel to get us in the water and through the season, but we still have to address the problem longer term. If galvanised mild steel is OK, that would save some problems of dissimilar metals, or how to get the existing fitting off the back of the base of the (long) keel. (I like the idea of delrin inserts, by the way.)

They've been on for about 10 years I think. The only one that's badly worn is the one at the foot of the rudder which takes most of the pressure. I'd be surprised if any material would withstand the constant rubbing of metal on metal that it has endured, especially given the silty environment that it has to operate in. I'm not sure if galvanised steel is the best replacement but if I get another 10 years wear then I'll be happy.
