I'm trying to locate, if at all any, motor zinc in my two Perkins ht6-354m engines.

am I looking in blindness, or does anyone know if there are supposed to be any?? or not...

in one manual I found on the web it says to have 1 pencil zinc infront of the header tank...
but it does not tell any parts number or size of the zinc for that matter.

in my other boat with mercruiser engines the manual states presicely what kind and size and so on....

I do hope there will be a clever person or 2 that has experienced the same as I.

I have worked on hundreds of HT6354s and never yet found one with an anode fitted.

Ah the good old days, never seen an anode in any Perkins engine, they had mostly bowman coolers fitted which didn't have a zinc anode.

The Bowman header tank had bronze end caps and cupro nickel tube stacks, so anode not really required, v clever, sadly they fecked up up completely buy using a cast iron charge cooler and exhaust manifold with no protection at all. Ticking bomb.
