We are still planning the installation of our watermaker and have decided on using a tee off the engine water inlet. Now without getting into a long protracted discussion about the wisdom of this, I would like some help.
I have attached a photo showing the type of pipe. It looks like a reinforced 1 inch hose.
now to add a tee, I have 2 options; cut the pipe and add the tee, or add the tee to the end of the pipe, and add 6 inches of pipe to the other end of the tee.
Option 1 will be less of an embuggerence. However in my experience in cutting reinforced pipe, it is rarely easy and can lead to wastage.
Advice please.
