Engine Swap Engineer Wanted: Solent Area

I'm looking to have my Yanmar 1GM10 engine changed for a nice shiny new Beta 14.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to who can do the change? I'm based in Portsmouth harbour but could move the boat pretty much anywhere in the Solent area for a decent quote.

Perhaps try Volvopaul on the Mobo forum - highly spoken of, but do not underestimate the task, nor its cost. I changed a similar size engine on my last yacht and was amazed at just how much had to be done.

I can recommend TS Marine having just had the same job done this spring (albeit my original was a Petter not Yanmar). Normal caveat, nothing more than satisfied customer

+1, only mine was done last winter, and the original was a Bukh
