It always seems a topical job when winterising to spray with some anti corrosion spray. I cant say I have ever bothered and I dont see any corrosion anyway, but quite what do people use?

I tend to avoid blasting the engine with corrosion guard and just spray with duck oil / maintenance spray.

I use corrosion guard on certain areas

mercruiser 3ltr timing cover
mercruiser power trim bracket
engine mounts

any areas which i know are prone to getting wet.

There is a really good spray that is recommended - it is unlike a spray that evaporates. It is a 3M product and Adversil is the brand. It covers rather like a wax spray and is used by the MOD on all their assault craft. If you want the exact product I will have to look it out for you, just let me know.....

I tried to Google ADVERSIL and couldent find it. I know the spray you mean I had an outboard serviced and the electrics were coated with a grey looking waterproof film. Looked like a good product.
