Thers been loads of talk in the past about what safety equipment that should be carried etc etc. Seeing as us lot rely on some sort of internal combustion engine for motive power and its the law of sod that it will let you down at the most inoppotune moment. It got me thinking over the past years engine trauma's. and what I would have done if I didn't have the spares on board to get going again.

So heres a really pointless thread. What engine you got and what spares do you carry for it. You never know someone may benefit from it!/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I carry filters and fan belts. After that it's just PTF tape and bits and pieces. Being diesels they rarely stop less its no fuel or air getting in. If I carried anything else I'd need a whole workshop full of spares and rounding Start Point is not the place to re engine it!!

I also carry all the normal stuff but with two engines there is always a way back !

Mind you last time I broke down, Only a month ago, it was the oil sender unit on the Port engine, A trip to Halfords with 2 quid sorted that and filled up with oil again !

Well I do carry a spare now but what is the likly that the oil sender unit would break down again ?
