This winter's project is about insulating my engine room. I have a Bav 35 Sport and they are renowned for having NO insulation whatsoever when they leave the factory (cost savings must be somewhere). Engine room walls are off course not perfect rectangles and there's a whole bunch of electricity and other cables and pieces (EVC, shift actuators) attached as well as lots of through-hull pipes (water, fuel, webasto, ventilation). There's also the air inlets that can't be covered up.
Any suggestions how to best approach this ?
I haven't made up my mind yet on the material, could be some led sandwiched (eg vetus, halyard) or 3M Thinsulate.
Not sure what to expect as a result but it cannot be worse than it is now.
