I need to replace the old engine panel with a blank panel and fit the new engine panel into that. The new engine panel is smaller than the old. Can anyone advise of where best to go?
I want something that looks professional.
Many thanks in advance.

I can recommend a product called Foamex, any decent plastic outlet should be able to supply it.
It has a leathergrain semi matt finish is very easy to work with and you can cut it with a stanley knife, I have used it on dozens of panels, perspex is crap it has a shiny cheap look about it and is hard to cut and melts when using hole saws, and will crack if you overtighten screws.

Hi, I did the same thing but it was a new bulkhead compass that was smaller than the old one. I got a piece of 'traffolite' cut by a sign engraving firm - they machined a 83mm hole in the centre of the square piece and the result looks great. You could get lettering engraved, boats name etc? the cost for my piece 100mm square with the hole was just less then £10. Do a search for industrial sign engravers, many do mail order.
