engine mountings

The engine mountings on my Yanmar 2GM20 need replacing. I have been told to replaced them with original Yanmar mountings as fitted will cost around £400. Has anyone fitted pattern mounting with good results or should I stick to the Yanmar one's.

You might like to try R & D couplings we replaced our club boats with them and they are fine. Make sure that you get the two different types as Yanmar have a different strengths on the front and rear mounts.

Ask http://www.trelleborg.com/industrialavs/ who make a lot of antivibration mounts. But make sure that all four are identical, some engines used different mounts for front and rear.

Hi,
I have replaced acouple of these type engines with pattern mounts and to be honest the result was not good. Non of these mounts were flexible enough to take the vibration at tickover or low revs and the result although acceptable was far from perfect and I dont think they will last as long as the originals. <font color="blue"> </font>
