The positive wire to the electrical hour clock has come off and not sure where it get it's 'juice' from. I would have thought it would be the ignition switch but if I put it on there the engine starts! Are there any 'sparks' out there?

I'm no sparks, but mine piggybacks off the ignition switch: same pos feed as goes to the idiot lights. (I've just looked to make sure.)

It's off the live feed from the ignition switch when it's on. As macd says, that will be feeding the lights and a bunch of other stuff, it should be easy to spot, it's probably the terminal on the ignition switch with the most wires on it! They don't draw much current I don't think, so pretty much anywhere that's live when the ignition is on will do.
