As I told Rum Pirate earlier:
(Boat engine broke down o way to Belgium - left boat as weather also horrible - injectors were cleaned)...
We got word that the engine was fixed but were told spend no more money on it.
Sunday morning 5am we got up and started the engine up and immediately realised it was pretty bad - still had diesel coming out of the exhaust, very low revs available.
We cast off, circled the marina pondering the decision to go or not when the engine died completely. We drifted into a nearby berth.
The weather was a flat calm until about 10am so we couldn't even try to go out under sail. I wasn't particularly keen as you may have seen from my post.
So engine is now being replaced (!) in Belgium before return trip. Looks like there will be a couple of weeks up in the inland Dutch waterways as a consolation holiday first.
