Engine control units

I have just fallen off my chair - yesterday we tried to service our Lewmar Engine Control Pod - water got in on the fastnet and it was not happy, not too expensive (just under £100) but a massive 5 week waiting time - this is nuts. That's the boat out of action as winter gets closer. - why 5 weeks in this day and age???

Five weeks is the standard reply, two things I have tried to order were both five weeks wait. When I ordered a pedestal guardrail after six weeks they were still saying another five weeks, another order they lost.
