Engine Components Cross Ref

Anybody know of a website that contains a cross reference table of engine components.
My tub has a Ford Fiesta/Escort diesel donk in it and I'm trying to get new filters. I know what Motorcraft / Filtron fuel & oil filters I need, but good old Halfords have no idea what these relate to in thiers or Champions range.
Unfortunatly I do n't know the year of the car it came out of - so am bit stuck.

You will need to know if your tub uses the 1.6D or the 1.8D engine and also if it was fitted with Bosch or Cav injection gear. I used to get my filters from LUCAS or LS as I think they are called now. I know that on the 1.6D the age of the unit was not important as they all used the same filters.
