Engine alignment with prop shaft

I can see clearly how you get up/down and inclination adjustment by using engine mounts but what about sideways adjusment.
Once the engine mounts are bolted down you cannot adjust sideways.
Do you just need to get it precise in the left/right sense
before you bolt mounts down??

the feet holding down nuts need to be loosened b 4 you start 2 give side ways movement
adjust side ways prior to tightening all " holding down " nuts

Volvo engine mountings are provided with 2 holes in the base plate. One is round and the other is a curved slot which allows rotation around the bolt in the round hole. The movement is probably up to 5mm either side.

Thanks for that sailorman, I didn't realize you can adjust mounts sideways after coach bolting them down.
On the Volvo mounts I have just removed there didn't appear to be any sideways adjustment at all.
Beta 16 going in.

generally the holes in the feet will be a larger Dia than the fixing bolts
