The Endurance 35 was the winner of a design competition organised by YM oodles of yeara ago....Maybe they could find something back in their archives. john
As John said, it was the winner of a design competition for a world cruiser than could be handled by 2 comfortably. The competition was held in about 1957 and was built commercially by a company in Wroxham, on the Broads. There were many builders of this ferro-cement boat and many more were build in peoples back gardens, so quality will vary greatly. Originally a 35 footer, it was developed into much larger craft, including a schooner! Tom
I have a review of the Endurance 40 ( I own one) from Yachting Monthly 1973.
It was in the section called "Design Section". It speaks well of the design, something I can verify from 5 years use / 20,000 miles.
I can scan and email it to you, should you wish. I am new to this forum, in fact, forums in general, so I hope I do not mess up. Send me your email address.
I will be posting an article re the caprail/toerail of Tuscair in the next while. Hope it works.
