SW wind so more likely Prinsted, but....

Is it still there or in Midhurst........

..../Still there, EYH webcams showed no wreckage on B pontoon, or out towards A pontoon at daylight today:D

on the 'Storm' thread(aka 'this could be rough') of this Forum, Sid Kennet told Seajet today that only a couple of dinghies broke loose and one mast down out on the moorings

I have had no emails or telephone calls so assume all is well, boat ashore in steel cradle facing SW........my last boat had two concrete mooring blocks out and still managed to dance around the anchourage so slightly paranoid!

No news is good news as they say, and I've had no news about my boat which I'm sure will have had a watchful eye cast over it today.

My only slight concern is that since the breeze would have been up her chuff, the lines may have stretched allowing her stem to peck at the pontoon when afloat, a condition which would go undetected if today's post-hoolie checks were done when the tide was out.

Doh! some eejit has parked a load of boats in the way of the webcam. Surely a month out of the water should be enough?!

Don't you realise that these wealthy owners of 'luxury' (media term for anything other than a £50.00 tender)wooden/classic yachts blocking the view can afford Nick's highly skilled restorative services-If you have to ask for a quote, you cannot afford him and should take up carpentry classes:D

.. of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most:eek:
Just glad there was no repeat of the 87, or that f11 blow(was it)the year before last when the waves were breaking over the roofs of those houses built on the old Northshore yard site?

Seriously thinking about going down Thurs/Fri to keep an eye on the boat.

Seriously, Dick, Please cast an eye out over the marina wall for me.

Our flight to Cyprus arrived 50minutes EARLY because of the winds on Friday... .....and a medium sized freighter is now a top tourist attraction at Sea Caves on the west coast. Quite weird seeing it the very next day. I can't see much prospect of it ever getting off.

I was down at the marina luchtime - looked over the wall - not sure which your boat is Vic, but everything seemed secure from where I was - certainly nothing up on the beach or sunk! PM me if you wish, I am only 10 minutes away from the harbour. :)

Thanks. Not really worried. Been through quite a few storms on the mooring since 1994. In fact 1987 in the Marina was more worrying ... boat was only 2 years old then :)
