You won't see the IJ canal as quiet as this very often.

No ferries, no trains, no trams due to a Dutch strike today.

Here in A'dam Noord life goes on as normal.

Takes all the fun out of it. Toodling through there with normal traffic my crew says " shouldn't we slow down a bit" - I said not likely I like to dodge the ferries as fast as I can!

Back to normal tomorrow. The roads weren't too bad in Amsterdam Noord when I went out. BTW great Vetus Chandlery at Zaandam - Klaas Mulder Watersport. Need a car to get there though as it's tucked away on a side canal.
