1 pm news on BBC Radio4 today reported that Emma Richards has set sail from South Africa - but no mention that she is racing Around Alone or that there are other competitors.

Our Emma is the next young British woman to make a big name for herself if she does well in this race

Emma was featured on 5 live earlier today in quite a lengthy interview. They will be speaking to her again next week about the same time (10ish from memory).
