I have just purchased a S23 Sealine with KAD32 170hp, it has the Eltrim trim tabs fitted.

My question is when preparing to put the boat on the plane, should the trim tabs be fully down ? and if so would this mean that the lights be on down both sides of the eltrim controls ?

My previous boat had smart tabs so you didnt do anything with them.

I look forward to hearing any advise available.

Certainly not fully down. You will get some weird handling in fact quite alarming lurching over onto the chine. .....I’ve done it some years ago when I had a S23. Just a couple of lights should do it, if not just introduce lights little by little. You’ll soon find the “sweet spot”

.......ah yes replace the rubber bellows every 2-3 years. A water leak means a new unit.
